Formula milk can be given till one-year age followed by cow’s milk from one year onward. Complications of prolong breast feeding can cause anaemia and poor weight gain. Milk is a great source of calcium which helps in babies bone growth and also it boos the immune system.

 

 

In case of Dairy allergies Similac alfa Mino ,Nutramigen or Neocate milk can be given early in life. From one year onward alternative milk such as soya, almond ,oat  milk can be helpful. Iron can be found from animal sources such as meat fish and vegetable sources from plant food like dark green vegetables. Lack of iron can affect physical and mental health and lead to iron deficiency anaemia.

 

Fat like whole milk, yoghurt, cheese and oily fish should be given under the age of two year. As they need the energy provided by the fat.Two year onwards should cut down the fat content provided your child growing well.
